I have over thirty years experience teaching art to students of all ages. I teach a wide variety of classes in many different media. Classes generally run two hours and cost $38.00 plus materials.
Class offerings
Mosaics
Use a variety of materials to create a simple project such as a garden stone, cigar box or picture frame. Adhesives, tools and techniques will be discussed as well as finishing techniques.
Alcohol Inks
Spontaneous and colorful results can be achieved by applying alcohol inks to tile. No artistic skills are needed! Make 4 tiles to use as coasters or wall decoration.
Yard Art
Make whimsical art for your garden from recycled glass, plates, bowls, metal and more. This technique can be used to make garden flowers, towers or bird baths. Easy to assemble, you choose the project you will make.
Life Masks
Have your face cast and use the casting as a mold to create a paper mask.
Drawing
Gentle "how to" guidance provided through simple exercises designed to boost your confidence and improve your drawing skills. Play with a variety of drawing materials including pencil, pen and ink, charcoal, markers and pastels to discover the medium you like the best.

Printmaking/Gelli Printing
You can make a print with anything from a potato to your own hand carved designs. Prints can be used for cards, book covers, collage and/or other pieces of art.
Collage
Cut and paste to create an art piece from your photos, magazines, calendars, wrapping paper, stickers, gemstones and more. Collage can be used to create a "vision board" or "soul collage" cards.
Assemblage
Similar to the art of collage but three-dimensional using a combination of found objects for construction.
Apoxee Clay Mosaics
This amazing two part clay can cover any object and act as an adhesive for mosaic materials. It dries rock hard and the finished product can be drilled, sanded or painted.
Beginning Watercolor
Learn some basic watercolor techniques including wet and dry brush, resist, salt pour, spatter and more.

.Learn the art of mosaics in a two day intensive workshop. This class is geared towards beginners and those who want to learn more about basic tools, techniques, applications and materials. No prior experience required. All materials will be provided. Class limit 6. This class will cover cutting techniques, adhesives, substraits, materials, design/layout and finishing techniques with your choice of either grout or epoxy. A variety of materials will be provided with the opportunity to create two small projects (or one larger piece). Come experience the endless possibilities of this versatile art form!
Classes consist of two back to back half days plus 2 hours for finishing (to be determined). June 7 and 8 from 11-3. Bring a sack lunch. Drinks provided.
Cost: $145.00
A $30 deposit will hold your space and will be applied toward your class fee
